A book of condolence has been opened in her home city at Liverpool Town Hall.
The life of the entertainer was portrayed in an ITV biopic last year, which followed the story of the typist’s rise to fame.
Gina Robertson, from St Julians, told the Argus she had many fond memories of her aunt. “She willed herself to die”. Now reunited with her Bobby.

She later told Radio Times she planned to age “disgracefully”.
She said in the May 2014 interview that she did not want to “linger” or be a burden on her family. “I was like a big brother more than anything”.
She quickly impressed the Beatles and others with her talent. That’s when I realised.
Black’s journey to stardom began at Liverpool’s famous Cavern Club, where she started work as a part-time cloakroom attendant.
