Miller was asked just why The Flash movie is an exciting prospect and he responded by talking at length about how Barry Allen is the “hero of the Silver Age”.

The first of Warner Bros’ 2018 DC movie universe films is the big screen take on The Flash, which cast Ezra Miller in the lead role a year ago.

“I think that’s an interesting idea”, he continued.

Grant Gustin puts up a peace sign for the cameras as he arrives on the set of The Flash on Tuesday afternoon (July 14) in Vancouver, Canada.

“Where he comes from is that we figured out that the Event Horizon was there, and he was the character who was created through our mythos machine of comic books to break that Event Horizon”, he continues, explaining that through it, one could explore such a realm, which he finds an interesting idea.

Speaking on whether he was avoiding the Flash TV show, Miller invoked some classic Flash lore to explain why he watched the show, saying “I’m not avoiding it at all, I think it’s awesome”.

An admitted longtime comic book fan, Miller is using his role as a means to truly do a deep dive into fanboy lore. He joked that with both actors being The Flash, it’s the “event horizon” and that they crossed it!

“And come on, it’s The Flash, it’s parallel universes”. I can say though that we see how the singularity has affected all of our characters and we will get glimpses as to what exactly happened. “I have the ultimate license to geek out so hard all the time”.

Ezra Miller will play The Flash in DC’s upcoming movie blockbuster – but has assured fans of the TV series, starring Grant Gustin, that there is no competition between the two. We’re going to have a race.
