As rumors have mentioned in the past, Samsung is also expected to announce the Galaxy S6 edge Plus during the same event, so the mobile industry could be in for a surprise next month.
Samsung will also axe the micro SD card slot from the phone, as the blog previously reported.
But this year, Samsung is willing to change its release schedule to avoid the buzz of the new iPhone – which, in recent weeks, has become a particularly loud buzz.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is the next flagship that Samsung is expected to roll out in the near future.
Since the current Note models, namely the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge, are numbered SM-910 and SM-915, various sources speculated that the mysterious devices mentioned by Samsung are the next iterations of the series.
For now not much is known about the hardware but it is safe to assume that Samsung will use its Exynos 7420 processor, which powers the S6 and the S6 Edge, in at least one phablet.
Apple unveiled its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on 9 of September 2014, and started sales of these devices on 19 of September.
A few more specifications have surfaced, which show that the new device will feature a 5.9-inch display.
Both the device boasts QHD screens.
The Note 5 is expected to come with an extremely thin bezel, along the lines of recently announced Galaxy A8, while its build quality will be identical to Samsung’s Galaxy S6.
Based on these renders, the Galaxy Note 5 won’t be an exact copy of the Galaxy S6’s design. The news first appeared on a Chinese website stated that the new Galaxy Note 5 will include a UFS 2.0 flash memory.
Under the plan, Samsung will hold its launch ceremony around the globe, including Seoul and New York in late August, although no other details are given, the sources said.
