Ni no Kuni was one of the most interesting RPGs to come out last generation. Mixing classic RPG elements, along with a world renown animation style from the former animator of Studio Ghibil, it was something to behold. Now, it’s getting a sequel in Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. Which you can say is one of the most highly anticipated JRPG games coming out this year coming in 2017.
And once again, it’ll team up video game developer Level-5 Inc. and animator Yoshiyuki Momose, along with music by Joe Hisaishi. The twist this time, is that Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom won’t just be coming to a Sony platform, this time via the PlayStation®4, but, it’ll be coming to PC players as well.
This time when players enger the world of Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, players enter the kingdom of Ding Dong Dell. Here, cats, mice, and humans once lived in harmony, but, after a coup, Evan, the young boy king of Ding Dong Dell is banished from his kingdom. Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom wil recount the story of the king and his journey to build his own kingdom and unite the entire world.
With Evan on his adventure are friends Roland, Tani, and beings known as Higgledies, who have come from the power of the hearts found within people, animals, and elements such as fire and wind. Only individuals with pure hearts can see the Higgledies. These creatures will aid Evan throughout his journey, helping him in battles, and letting him reach places he wouldn’t otherwise be able to access.
No release date yet for Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, but it is aiming for a 2017 release.
