Arrow set the stage for the CW/DC Comics TV shows. In fact, because of the show, the universe of the CW that has the DC Comics titles is called the Arrowverse. Because Arrow set the stage for Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, the animated series Vixen, Constantine, and the Ray, and even Supergirl when it aired on CBS, because it was headed up by a longtime producer of the show.
Since then, between Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl, there have been a lot of crossovers. In fact, every year, the CW brings the characters together to make a crossover, with last years being “invasion”, and one coming up will feature the Supergirl, Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow crew (some of them) being together for a musical two-parter.
But now, Executive Producer for the show, Marc Guggenheim, is teasing what he calls the “fastest crossover” in history in regards to Flash and Arrow. Because next weeks episode of Arrow, which is called “Second Chances” will apparently feature a very fast crossover from the Flash. Part of which is shown in the picture below
For those who don’t recognize this, this is the office of Captain Singh in Central City, where Flash lives. It’s clear Barry is doing something to his computer, but it’s a little hard to tell what at present. Furthermore, it’s hard to tell if this is the beginning of said fastest crossover, or the end.
Either way, this is a creative way to shoot a crossover, and further remind fans of Flash and Arrow that the other shows do exist in the same realm. Although, in the previous episode of Arrow, “Who Are You?” we got to see the return of Black Siren, who was a villain only shown in Flash, and was kept in the particle accelerator prison.
Arrow (and Flash!) continue to air on the CW.
