In a related report by the Inquisitr, the threat of Russia’s nuclear weapons has the USA military considering sending F-22 Raptor squadrons into Europe in order to counter the actions of Vladimir Putin’s Russian Federation.
Two missiles fell off a British warplane as it was landing at the Royal Air Base in Cyprus on Wednesday, a base spokesman said. It is believed the poor visibility in the region may have contributed to the accident.
Two radar-guided Brimstone missiles have detached from a British Tornado fighter jet after a bombing mission against ISIS over Syria and Iraq.
The runway was closed after two Brimstone missiles detached themselves from a Tornado GR4 while landing at RAF Akrotiri on the outskirts of the coastal town of Limassol.
RAF Akrotiri, is one of eight bases used by the RAF to launch air strikes against jihadist group IS in Iraq, and approximately 3,000 United Kingdom armed forces personnel are stationed there.
The good news is that when the British missiles fell off their jet, no one was killed or injured.
“To the best of our knowledge this is the first time this has happened, the causes are still not clear and are under investigation”, Gray said.
