Xiaomi is launching a bevy of products across categories.

The company is now introducing another wearable after the Michigan fitness band.

Xiaomi wants to rapidly expand its product portfolio, and to do that, it has been rightly tapping into the connected devices segment.

The smart shoe contains a chip in its sole that provides performance feedback on running progress and syncs with a mobile app to track running achievements.

Xiaomi, one of the biggest gadget brand of the world, along with Li-Ning the Chinese athletic shoes and sporting goods maker have together announced the launch of Smart Shoes that will feature a Bluetooth Chip and military-grade motion sensors, reports GizmoChina. The Smart Shoes can record the steps, calories and other fitness related functions.

The shoes are waterproof, sweat proof and can even withstand pressure. All set to go on sale in China on July 20 Li-Ning Smart Shoes cost about $32, making them much more budget-friendly than similar accessories, such as Nike’s iPod-friendly shoes or the Adidas’ miCoach Speed Cell.

Xiaomi’s Smart Shoes pack a battery that is said to last more than a year, and these shoes are available in a variety of flashy colors.
