The Ku Klux Klan has reportedly been distributing fliers in order to recruit people for a neighborhood watch group in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Many who live in a predominantly black neighborhood in North Charleston are mad after finding KKK fliers on the windshields of their cars. The State reported that the Black Educators for Justice applied for their permit to demonstrate 10 days after the Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. “

You can sleep tonight knowing the Klan is awake.”

The fliers feature a hooded klansman pointing like an Uncle Sam recruitment poster.

Jesse Williams, president of th Waylyn Neighborhood Association, says their community is gathering Wednesday evening to talk about what happened last week.

The fliers appeared less than three weeks after nine people were shot to death at a historic black church in downtown Charleston.

The suspected shooter, Dylann Roof, a 21-year-old white man, had posed with a Confederate battle flag in photos posted on a website that displayed a racist manifesto attributed to him. Let’s everybody just move on.

“We’re standing up for the Confederacy”, James Spears, the chapter’s “great titan”, said. Now less than 24 hours away from their arrival, authorities say they will maintain a strong presence on the State House grounds to ensure public safety.

“I will not be coming to the rally because I do not endorse hate in any kind of shape or form or fashion”, said Amanda Vause. “We’re not going there”.
