It’s hard to convey the frenetic energy of rabid fans who have slept outside for three days, to witness snippets of behind-the-scenes “making-of” Star Wars:VII The Force Awakens. J.J.

Director J.J. Abrams and film producer Kathleen Kennedy responded to a question about diversity from a fan who pointed out that there were no Asian characters in the movie.

The World’s End and Hot Fuzz star Simon Pegg has a cameo role in the new Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens.

It was basically the ultimate Star Wars event – and that was before Abrams announced that all 6,500 people in Hall H were then going to be attending a secret Star Wars concert with the San Diego Symphony orchestra.

The 2015 Comic-Con in Sand Diego, a festival of everything sci-fi and fantasy, had a lot to offer to Star Wars fans: panel discussions with actors and creators, sneak previews, and limited merchandise.

“Everything’s changed, but nothing’s changed”, said a bearded Hamill on the set.

The panel featured the likes of OGs Hamill, Ford, in his first appearance since crashing his private plane, and Carrie Fischer (Princess Leia).

Ward said Rey not only inherits the Millennium Falcon but also gets to own Han Solo’s DL-44 blaster, the same weapon that was seen in this concept photo presented during the Star Wars Celebration Anaheim. It’s also a reference to Luke’s last name in George Lucas’ original Star Wars draft.

“It was 30 plus years ago and I sort of grew up”.

“I was very gratified when I read the script because I read something that I thought was really remarkable, really well-written and with some very intriguing developments”, Ford said.

The Star Wars: The Force Awakens Comic Con 2015 Reel gives fans a detailed (and reassuring) look at the real sets, hand-painted costumes and practical effects that director JJ Abrams has employed in the upcoming movie. Adam Driver is playing the role of Kylo Ren, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, while Domhnall Gleeson is General Hux.
