Saturday will feature occasional sunshine with a few isolated thunderstorms in the morning and midday and then more widespread thunderstorms in the afternoon to early evening as a cold front from the west moves into the area. Still promising a muggy night with lows dropping in the lower 70s under mostly cloudy skies. A Warm Day. Highs in the mid 80s. Any showers that linger into the evening hours will come to an end and the clouds will begin to clear away after midnight. Temperatures will be in the 80s. Severe weather potential Wednesday again looks rather low due to marginal instability. Expect a mix of sun and puffy cumulus clouds. Tuesday will be a day to watch very closely with highs looking to come close to 90°, if not into the lower 90s. A northerly breeze will usher in drier air and temperatures will dip into the 50s and lower 60s by tomorrow morning.

True summer weather looks to arrive this weekend. Dew points will remain in the 50s.

Hartford-Brainard hit 90 degrees this past Sunday, but official climate observations are taken at Bradley global, which peaked at 89 degrees. However, there were no such days in May, June, or July!
