A former associate producer of the Discovery Channel’s reality show, Deadliest Catch, was shot and killed in front of his Pasadena, California, home early Friday morning.
Coroner’s officials have not released the man’s name.
According to the station, around 2:19 a.m., deputies were sent to the 3600 block of Yorkshire Road near the corner of Rosemead Boulevard on a report of a possible gunshot victim.
Authorities told NBC Los Angeles that the man lived near the scene of the shooting.
Family members told Weingold McMahon reportedly heard a noise outside and went to check it out when the shooting occurred. Police say there is no information about any suspects and that their investigation is ongoing.
Cops said McMahon had been shot multiple times when he was found in a driveway just one down from his own home.
A woman who said she was the victim’s sister Maddie identified him as McMahon, The Pasadena Star News reported.
Neighbor Joey Mueller said her husband heard “between six and eight shots”.
“I don’t know what happened”, she said. Anonymous tipsters can call Crime Stopper 1-800-222-8477, or text “TIPLA” plus the tip to 274637, or use the website http://lacrimestoppers.org. A free Tip Submit mobile application is available for the iPhone® and Android™.
