Hazara and Malakand division people will celebrate Eid after the announcement of the moon sighting by Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee under Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman.

On the basis of which, the central Ruet-e-Hilal committee announced that Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated across the country on Saturday. This is followed by the congregational Eid prayer in mosques and open spaces where believers thank the Creator for enabling them to complete the preparatory programme of Ramazan, which brings both spiritual and temporal benefits.

Regional Ruet-e-Hilal Committees will also hold their meetings at their headquarters to collect evidences regarding sighting of moon.

Eidul Fitr prayers in Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Bannu and North Waziristan tribal region also offered today.

Saudi Arabia has announced that Friday, July 17, is the first day of Eid Al Fitr, after the sighting of the crescent of Shawwal, Emarat Al Youm reports. The main Eid congregation in Lahore will be held at the Badshahi Mosque.

Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan and UK on Friday after Shawal moon was sighted in various parts of the Middle East on Thursday evening.

Eid will be celebrated at all the mosques in the Tricity from 9 am onwards.
