Two decomposed bodies were found in a wooded area on private property in Hobart, Ind., Friday afternoon.

Lake County Coroner Merrilee Frey says the bodies were identified through dental records as 18-year-old Arreon Lackey and 16-year-old Antonio Lackey.

“It had been several weeks since they were reported missing”, she said.

Both deaths were rule homicides, according to the coroner’s office. The owner called 9-1-1 to say two fishermen using the grounds found corpses in a wooded area, Hobart police said in a news release.

The Hobart Police Department did not provide details on the deaths Monday.

“We’ve been working on this all day today”, Frey said.

Northwest Indiana Major Crimes Task Force spokesman Bob Byrd says the two men appeared to have been dead for an extended time.
