The couple realized it was a clown staring right at them and waving.

A clown lurking around a cemetery at night sounds like a disturbing scene from a Stephen King novel, but it turned into a real life scare when some costumed bozo was spotted in a Chicago graveyard.

Cemetery officials said there were no reports of vandalism following the sighting, but Graham said she still doesn’t like what the person was doing. At the time, the cemetery was closed up for the night. Rosehill cemetery is the final resting place for several famous Chicagoans including retailers Richard Warren Sears, Aaron Montgomery Ward, John Shedd of the Shedd Aquarium, and Vice President under Calvin Coolidge Charles Dawes.

There have been reports around the country – and now here in Chicago, too.

In the last year several weird acts by clowns have been reported.

In March 2014, a person dressed as a clown was spotted roaming the streets of Staten Island. Last summer clowns popped up in a cemetery in New York during daylight hours as well.

It got weirder. When Julia and her husband hung around to get a better look, the clown was not deterred or afraid. “That is like making light of a cemetery”.

Clowns are just wrong, I have a visceral hatred of them, and I am on a mission from God to expose these diabolical entities.

The Grahams were able to catch the creepy clown in their headlights and take its photo. The couple captured the spooky wave on a cell phone before the clown ran off, according to UPI.com.
