A decide this month launched a doc with excerpts from the deposition that included Cosby’s admission that he obtained Quaaludes, the model identify for a sedative and muscle relaxant extensively abused as a leisure drug within the Nineteen Seventies, with the intent of giving it to younger ladies to have intercourse with them.
He also said he knew how to judge whether women might be interested in sex.
A newly-released deposition stemming from a 10-year old court case against Bill Cosby presents more damaging details about how the once-beloved entertainer used his fame and drugs to pursue young women.
The New York Times reported the revelations Saturday after obtaining a copy of a transcript from the previously unreported deposition.
He said he offered to pay for Ms Constand’s education and had paid other women after they had sex with him. He also admits he funneled money to some of the women through his agent so his wife wouldn’t find out.
In the deposition, Cosby described why he seen what he stated was a sexual encounter with the plaintiff within the case as consensual, based on the newspaper.
The Times reports that Cosby told lawyers for Andrea Constand, who brought the suit, that he was a “pretty decent reader of people and their emotions in these romantic sexual things”, according to the transcript.
Cosby’s publicist, David Brokaw, did not immediately return a message seeking comment late Saturday. CAA quietly dropped Cosby as a client earlier this year as more than two dozen women went public with allegations of rape and doping incidents over many years.
He suggested he was skilled at understanding women and nonverbal cues signaling sexual consent.
He talked of the 19-year-old aspiring model who sent him her poem and ended up on his sofa, where, Mr. Cosby said, she pleasured him with lotion.
And there was the young woman named Andrea Constand, whom Cosby instructed to “tell your mother about the orgasm”, after she had told her mom he had drugged and molested her. “She does not say to me, don’t ever do that again”, Cosby said in the deposition, according to the newspaper.
During the call, Cosby wanted Constand to tell her mother “about the orgasm” so that she would realize it was consensual.
Separately, Cosby acknowledged that at his New York home, after other guests left, he once asked a woman who stayed behind about her father who died of cancer because he wanted to have sexual contact with her, the newspaper reported.
