Carly Rae Jepsen is jet-setting all over the globe in her new video for “Run Away With Me,” and after watching, we have just one minor request from the singer: Call us, maybe?
With a retro, lo-fi feel, the video is a stark contrast to the promo for her recent single I Really Like You – which featured Tom Hanks and Justin Bieber. In Japan, the new album (E.MO.TION) has already been released and has been hugely successful, and critics are comparing it to Teenage Dream.
Check out Carly’s video for “Run Away With Me” above. She hits up various landmarks, and the whole thing is very relaxed and laid back.
The best part of this video is that Carly’s positive, blindingly bright attitude makes you forget, if only for a moment, that all of New York City smells like hot garbage all the time. She also collaborated with Sia, Ariel Rechtshaid, Vampire Weekend’s Rostam Batmanglij and Greg Kurstin.
Carly Rae Jepsen said earlier this year that she was excited for fans to hear certain songs, including “Black Heart”, which she called “quirky” and “weird”.
