Gillaspie should have a chance to play in Los Angeles in the short term after Angels third baseman David Freese fractured his right index finger, an injury that will keep him out at least two weeks.

The White Sox announced that 3B Conor Gillaspie, who was designated for assignment on July 19th, has been traded to the Angels for cash considerations. 640 OPS this season, but he batted. 237 with 15 RBI in 58 games and losing the third base job to Tyler Saladino.
